Born in Bristol, I was brought up in the village of Backwell, Avon.

Trained:
I moved to London to train for a medical degree at the Royal Free Hospital.   Then I went to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn, Norfolk  for 6 months house training and on to Basildon Hospital in Essex for a further 6 months.
My General Practice training included:

Cardiac, Queen Elizabeth, King’s Lynn.
Obstetrics , Queen Elizabeth, King’s Lynn.
Paediatrics, Nuneaton.
General Practice in Wisbech.

General Practice in Hong Kong for 2 years.
General Practice in Guernsey.
Further 3 years general Practice in Hong Kong.
General Practice in Brunei for 7 years before joining Burnham Market Surgery in May 2003.
